Spikes, horns, bubbles and Gore Couture

At the beginning of the year I was contacted by a few people with some very cool projects and this was one of them. Krissy Gore owner at Gore Couture Corsets asked me to shoot this new and very cool spiked corset. After working with Liv Free Make up and hair on all my other shoots with Gore couture we decided she would be perfect for the job then with the addition of her accessories (Creations by Liv Free) and model Imogen (last seen in the Gore couture Vampire shoot – Vampires don’t sparkle ) we had our team.

Heres the results of a fun day with bubbles and spikes.

Aims, targets and creative dreams

2011 was a good year for me at ASYLUMseventy7, as you can read in my “highlights of year” post, but I have bigger plans, targets and dreams for 2012. Here are some of the things I’m aiming to achieve this coming year, some simple, some hard and a few just things I’d love to add to my portfolio.

  • One of my aims for 2011 was to get my Facebook like page to 2,000 likes. This year I aim to double that to 4,000 and also increase the interaction with the people on there.
  • In a similar vein I aimed to get my Twitter followers to 1,000 as well as talk to more tweeps. Again I’d like to double this and spread the creativity and conversation more.
  • In 2011 I had a couple of interviews at the beginning of the year and later got work on the BBC and arts council websites not to mention several papers, this year I aim to repeat it and get more exposure in both print and on line publications.
  • Models I would love to work with include: Ruby True, ulorin vex and Helene Atsuko again. If anyone can help make this happen please get in touch! :)
  • Waldrobe Id like to work with this year include: Violaceous Latex, Antiseptic FashionSacre Coeur Adornments, Sweetdelirium jewelry and more with Gore Couture
  • As well as working with more metal/rock and indy bands I would like to design/photograph some really heavy/black metal bands as well as break into the darker drum & bass scene.

What is on your list of aims, targets and creative dreams? Let me know in the comments below :)
